Kaylee ist noch ein halbes Kind, aber ein As, wenn es um Maschinen geht. Daher fühlt sie sich im Maschinenraum oft wohler als auf der Brücke. Seit ihrem ersten Aufeinandertreffen ist sie in Simon verschossen, der sie jedoch in seiner Fürsorge für seine Schwester eingenommen selten beachtet.
